and the hits just keep on coming....

Driving my son to Football this afternoon,
his usual headphone bound head trapped in thought....

I tap....

He turns to me....

I say..."so, what's on your mind?"

He replies, "wondering why if we are going to move we don't just move for real...."

Me: For real?

Him: Yeah....like up to the Avenues or something....

He continues: [talkative....yes, I am shocked]
Why not just sell both houses and all of us move in together?

By all of us he means
his Aunts and Uncles [4 of them]
his dad and myself with the kids.......

Me: Ummmm, and that would be a good idea why???

Him: Well, someday us kids are going to have to take care of the aunts and uncles as well as you and Dad.

We can have a whole retirement
community set up there!!!!

Me: You had better be able to read my mind buddy!!!!

[if you are confused about the read my mind
refer to previous post....Football Funny!]

How old do your kids think you are???

Football Funny

Five days a week I get the
splendid opportunity to drive
my teenage son to and from Football.
Five opportunities times two
for us to chit chat about
what is up with him.
He is seatbelted in,
I can choose how fast or slow we get there.
I can even take a new route if
I feel we have so much more to
say to one another...

NOT!!!

He has those big Skullcandy earphones
that BLOCK OUT PARENTAL ADVICE
SUGGESTIONS, and INQUIRIES!!!

Each day as I drive him I
pat him on the leg to get his attention:

He removes ONE ear phone:
"Hey Bud, How was school?"

"Fine"

Phones back on...
Me patting his leg...

ONE phone off:
"How is your homework going?

"Fine"

Phones back on...
Me patting his leg...

ONE phone off:
"Do you have plans for the weekend?"

"IDK yet"

Phones back on...
Me patting his leg...

ONE phone off:
"Did you get your chores done?"

"Yeah"

Phones back on....

Finally this Tuesday when I was
going through the usual motions with him...

He turned to me and said:

"MOM, I CAN READ YOUR MIND!!!"

Me: Really?

He still makes me smile....
as he turned to me and said...
"Hey, you could blog that!!!"

Husband Banned from Target

An email forward to funny not to pass along.

Hope this finds you all smiling today!

After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to Target.

Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out.

Equally unfortunate, my wife is like most women - she loves to browse.

Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter from our local Target.

Dear Mrs. Samsel,

Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion in our store.

We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to ban both of you from the store.

Our complaints against your husband, Mr.. Samsel, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras.

1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people's carts when they weren't looking.

2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals.

3. July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom.

4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice,'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away'.

This caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a
reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company money.

5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on layaway.

6. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.

7. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers he would invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged.

8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?' EMTs were called.

9. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.

10. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.

11. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the 'Mission Impossible' theme.

12. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his 'Madonna look' by using different sizes of funnels.

13. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!'

14. October 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!'

And last, but not least:

15. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, and then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here.' One of the clerks passed out.

Hope this made you laugh as it did me.

on marriage

'Will you, um, marry me?' I haven't seen you in weeks! You don't look happy or excited about the prospect of our marriage! You're asking me to give up my - my freedom, my joie de vivre for an institution that fails as often as it succeeds? And why should I marry you anyway? I mean, why do you wanna marry me? Besides some bourgeois desire to fulfill an ideal that society embeds in us from an early age to promote a consumer capitalist agenda?
