The Chicago Library
Fascinating Story
When the Chicago Fire happened in 1871
the Queen of England felt so bad that they had lost
all of their books (assuming they had).
She took a huge collection of her personal library and
donated them to Chicago.
Chicago built an amazing Library to house
these books.
The fascinating part is two-part!
1) Chicago had no books prior to the fire!
2) They built an amazing library
specifically for the Queens collection,
which by far is my favorite place to see in Chicago.
Seriously AMAZING!!!
The Library also shares a space
as a Memorial to Vetarans of Wars.

on marriage
'Will you, um, marry me?' I haven't seen you in weeks! You don't look happy or excited about the prospect of our marriage! You're asking me to give up my - my freedom, my joie de vivre for an institution that fails as often as it succeeds? And why should I marry you anyway? I mean, why do you wanna marry me? Besides some bourgeois desire to fulfill an ideal that society embeds in us from an early age to promote a consumer capitalist agenda?
