maybe not so funny...

I am not sure my humor is always appropriate...

...however, i thought about laughing this morning...

as i combed j's hair I said,
[like i always do]:

"you have rats [in his hair];

you had a party....[indicating in his hair]

why didn't you invite me?"

...from the dr. seuss story...

♥i LOVE dr. seuss...♥

interuption of thought:
S' b-day is the same as Seuss...March 2nd.

we enjoy green eggs and ham for breakfast,

and he wears the seuss hat to school...so fun...

and so each morning as I comb the boys hair I recall the story which ends with the dogs saying, "do you like my hat?"

"no, I do NOT like your hat..."

and finally, "yes, I do, I do like your hat"

as they go to the DOG PARTY. --up in the tree

can anyone tell me which story that is???
momentarilly forgot due to brain cramps ♥
back to my point,

yes, I have a point...

in combing the boys hair I always say, in jest,

"the rats, did you have a party in your hair last night"...

and today, j responded with this:
"no, i had a terrorist party...."
[i believe he means a night terror]

and he leaves me standing in the kitchen,
trying not to smile, or laugh....because i am not sure...

was that funny?

I didn't like Dr. Suess books growing up but grew to love them raising my own kids !

The dog party in the tree book I think is called Go! Dog! Go! And I love that Dr. Seuss hat. I have never fed my kids green eggs and ham...I'll have to try it one day.

In college we always wanted to have a "communist" party where you have to dress up as your favorite communist— I could always be Lenin with my beard.

I love that line-"do you like my hat?"-I remember reading that book and the kids were always so excited to get to the dog party page and look at what all the dogs were doing.
The hat part-I still say to them whenever I try on a hat? They don't think it is as funny anymore-but I do!

horton hears a who was a cute movie

on marriage

'Will you, um, marry me?' I haven't seen you in weeks! You don't look happy or excited about the prospect of our marriage! You're asking me to give up my - my freedom, my joie de vivre for an institution that fails as often as it succeeds? And why should I marry you anyway? I mean, why do you wanna marry me? Besides some bourgeois desire to fulfill an ideal that society embeds in us from an early age to promote a consumer capitalist agenda?
