The Storms

I wanted to share a quote I found that has been really helpful to me for the past few days.

This quote was the only and first thing that I read on my Wednesday this week.

I know that as I read the words
they were an answer to my prayers,
my question:
How am I going to do this?

...from Dr. Wayne Dyer's book, Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life:

"Sadness, fear, frustration
or any troubling feeling
cannot last.
Nature doesn't create
a storm that never ends."

...maybe you thought it would be bigger.
To me it was a huge thought.
(I changed the font to not disappoint you, LARGE, he he.)

My signature statement on my daily email is:

--'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...
It's about learning to dance in the rain'

so...on from here...to dance in the storms that are mine...and to
appreciate anyone who asks, shall we dance. for then, I am not alone...

thanks ♥

Your post makes me think--you may really like a new book that is out by Glen Beck, called The Christmas Sweater. Have you heard of it? It is a really great story about a boy who had a storm in his life that he needs to face, and how do does it. The events are based on events in Glen's life, although messed around a little. It's very inspiring. ANd it may give you a little boost with the things you are struggling with. Just be sure to have a box of tissues on hand.

Your signature is very similar to a phrase I wrote and have used in some of my letters:

Always dance your own dance… but never dance alone

I'll have to make a post about what I call "the perfect rain". I'll keep you posted.

sounds trite doesn't it? but one day at a time. It took me years to understand what that meant and how to apply it. Only through prayer and the atonement did I begin to get it. Going through a recent situation, it was crazy for a few days, not knowing how long this issue was going to last.... but through the Savior, I was able to get through one of the roughest weeks I have ever endured.

It will not last forever. One minute at a time. Talking about it helps so much. Keep blogging!!! peace and prayers!

on marriage

'Will you, um, marry me?' I haven't seen you in weeks! You don't look happy or excited about the prospect of our marriage! You're asking me to give up my - my freedom, my joie de vivre for an institution that fails as often as it succeeds? And why should I marry you anyway? I mean, why do you wanna marry me? Besides some bourgeois desire to fulfill an ideal that society embeds in us from an early age to promote a consumer capitalist agenda?
