Thankful Thursday

Are you in the
HUG CLUB???

Just asking because J is
and G [14] joined this past week.

J [7] has been collecting hugs since first grade, ...maybe kindergarten. They are good for collecting, they don't have to be dusted...if you hug enough, and they don't take up much space.

Yesterday J gets into the car and says:
I am so thankful
for the wind.

Me: Really

J: Yeah, Olivia C. was so scared. She thought there would be a tornado and told me to protect her. I did, in my arms. I got the biggest hug I ever got.

Me: Cool.

Hey, what else could I say.

ahhhh....to be so THANKFUL
for the wind!

That's a perfect reason to be thankful for the wind :) I thought it was going to blow all the shingles off our roof these last couple of days!

LOVE this.

If we had wind right now I would be very, very grateful. As it is, I'm grateful for ice cold water.

on marriage

'Will you, um, marry me?' I haven't seen you in weeks! You don't look happy or excited about the prospect of our marriage! You're asking me to give up my - my freedom, my joie de vivre for an institution that fails as often as it succeeds? And why should I marry you anyway? I mean, why do you wanna marry me? Besides some bourgeois desire to fulfill an ideal that society embeds in us from an early age to promote a consumer capitalist agenda?
