I ask because here is my conversation with J after school today.
me: How was school?
J: Good.
me: Did you watch the inauguration?
J: Yes. It was really boring.
J: Did you see President Bush kiss that lady?
me: uh hu.
J: it was GROSS. You never know where that mouth has been.

on marriage
'Will you, um, marry me?' I haven't seen you in weeks! You don't look happy or excited about the prospect of our marriage! You're asking me to give up my - my freedom, my joie de vivre for an institution that fails as often as it succeeds? And why should I marry you anyway? I mean, why do you wanna marry me? Besides some bourgeois desire to fulfill an ideal that society embeds in us from an early age to promote a consumer capitalist agenda?

HAHAHAHA!! But he's right--you never know where it's been!!
Yah. Kissing is kind of a strange thing from an objective point of view. I guess. Kids sure see things from a fantastic perspective.
You can't make that stuff up. Gotta love little kids.
Kids are the best ever!! This is why blogs exist, so we can share all those cute things!
Poor lady.
LOL, too true, what a smart kid!
I hope your son says that kissing is gross for many stress free years to come!
Too funny! So I asked my daughter if she got to watch the inauguration at school, she replied; "oh yes, and it was winter there!" I am still laughing, poor little Arizonan doesn't even know that it's Winter here too!
From the mouths of babes…
Gotta love what children say
